Help Us Rally Around A Good Man

Medical Expense Fundraiser For US Army Veteran Mike Cagle - Post Image.png

On January 5th 2023 while working in his wood shop, Mike Cagle was seriously electrocuted. Luckily his girlfriend was on site and was able to immediately begin CPR. The responding officer had to use the AED (Automated External Defibrillator) twice to restore his heartbeat. Mike was technically flatlined for approximately 10 minutes. He was initially transported to Medical City Alliance and then transported to Medical City Plano where he remained on a ventilator in ICU for about two days. By the shear grace of God, Mike pulled through and is now off the ventilator and has started physical therapy and has already had one skin graft surgery to also repair the damage done to his hands.

Mike is a United States Army Combat Veteran but does not have Tri Care and as a independent woodworker, carries very little personal medical insurance so we want to do what we can to help Mike during his recovery. Mike is literally the guy that will go out of his way to help others. He has routinely donated his time and skills at the Cover 6 Outdoors 501c3 Veterans nonprofit east Texas camp where he helped build a small cabin and outhouse without taking a single penny for his efforts. Mike also donates custom woodwork to the Annual Cover 6 Outdoors Clay Shoot Fundraiser as auction items. Please feel free to reach out to Cover 6 Outdoors for any questions. We will run this fundraiser until the end of February and will then present Mike with funds to help assist with his medical expenses.
